DescriptionThe kitchen team will prepare meals for 40 kids and 10 members of the counselor team. Cook will be onsite during lunch and supper and have a meal plan for counselors to follow regarding breakfast. Cook will also prepare an afternoon snack that will be served by the counselor team. Camp Cook will prepare a grocery list and pick up needed items on their own or delegate to volunteers. Camp cook will oversee cleanliness of kitchen and maintenance of cooking equipment and report needs to the camp committee. Camp cook will oversee the clean up and set up/take down of the kitchen before and after camp along with the camp committee.

Cooks will be onsite during lunch and supper and have a meal plan for counselors to follow regarding breakfast. Cook will also prepare an afternoon snack that will be served by the counselor team. Camp Cook may delegate responsibilities to assistant cook which may include: Grocery shopping, donation pick up, food prep, cleaning, equipment maintenance. The Assistant cook will participate in the clean up and set up/take down of the kitchen before and after camp along with the camp committee. There may be circumstances where the Camp Cook is not present during a meal in which case the assistant cook would take charge of the meal with direction from the cook.

DescriptionThe kitchen team will prepare meals for 40 kids and 10 members of the counselor team. Jr Kitchen staff will have a variety of duties delegated by the cook and assistance cook. Duties will include: disinfecting work areas, cleaning up messes, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes and large items, making juice, cutting vegetables, preparing salads, peeling carrots and potatoes, putting items on the service line, dishing up food for campers, checking temperature on fridges, monitoring participants with allergies get what they require, working closely with the cook and assistant cook. The purpose of the position is to learn new skills, gain experience and provide a great experience for our campers.

DescriptionBeing our first year of Teen Camp we envision a program where teens build independence by being a part of the meal preparation, service and clean up as much as possible. Our teen camp cook should be enthusiastic about teaching teens food prep skills, how to be safe in the kitchen and building up their confidence by offering experiences that challenge them and offer educational opportunities and build confidence.
