Two Days in the weeks leading up to camp (hours are required)

Meal Preparation and Serving

July 12 2021 – July 16th 2021 (5 days)

Total Kitchen Clean Up required on July 16

*Does not include over night accommodation – cooks are expected to commute each day.

Job Description The camp cooks will be in charge of feeding around 40 people, 3 meals per day. They will plan the menu and prepare the meals. They will be responsible for keeping the kitchen area clean. The quality and quantity of food should follow the Canadian Food Guide to provide nutritious and appetizing meals that will appeal to children.
Requirements Must have Food Safety Certification

Must have previous cooking experience

Must follow public health restrictions in regards to meals and food service

Skills and Abilities Menu Planning within specified budget

Meal Preparation

Prepare Shopping Lists

Work as a team with other camp cooks

Cooperate with Camp Staff

Ability to supervise volunteers

Job Description

This position is extremely important to the success of the camp as all your time will be spent with the campers. Following the guidance of the camp director, counselors will be in charge of the fun of camp! They will need to plan and lead the sports, culture, music, arts, and nature activities. Be prepared to contribute your interests and strengths in a variety of areas to make this camp the best it can be! Counselors are also responsible for the safety and well being of the campers acting as a care giver to the children while they are at camp.

Requirements

Must be 17 years or older

Criminal Record Check

First Aid Certification is required

Ukrainian Language Skills are an asset

Must attend Staff Orientation and Training sessions as necessary

Enforce camp rules and local laws including health restrictions

Provide evaluation of the program

Covid-19 Special Requirements

Counselors will be required to follow the Public Health Restrictions in place and be flexible in adapting their plans to fit the restrictions.

Job Description

Counselor’s in Training will help our the camp counselors during camp. They would be learning the duties and responsibilities of a camp counselor gaining great experience to develop skills for their resume. 

Requirements

Must be 15 or 16 years or older

Ukrainian Language Skills are helpful but not necessary

Must attend Staff Orientation and Training sessions as necessary

Provide evaluation of the program

Covid-19 Requirements

CIT’s are expected to follow and respect all the public health guidelines and use creative solutions to adapt their favorite camp activities to fit within the guidelines. We will count on CIT’s to set a good example for campers by washing their hands, wearing their masks and keeping distance when required.
